Reaper's Stand (Reapers Motorcycle Club) - Joanna Wylde

We've met the Reapers MC president, Reese "Picnic" Hayes in the other 3 books in the series.  He's in his early 40s and suffered the death of his wife several years ago. Since his wife's death, he's been messing around with young "club sluts", steering clear of any attachments that could be anything more than a roll in the sheets.

MC romance is a sexy fantasy and all that jazz but I still have a hard time reconciling how disrespectful the men are to women in this world. The guys call women "bitch," "slut," and "whore" for sleeping around yet they are screwing them so what are the guys? Reese Hayes is king of man-whores! The way Reese throws his sexual exploits in London's face was particularly bothersome for me for the first 40% of this book.

I didn't like London at all...in some ways she reminded me of Marie from Reaper's Property. London's actions felt much less mature than her late 30s. London was so horny for Reese that her ability to reason was completely out of whack! There's a sex scene toward the end that was downright disturbing; so much so that I don't think I'll be able to wrap my mind around or see it as sexy, ever!

I had really high hopes for this book, but it hit too many of the wrong buttons for me. I couldn't make myself suspend disbelief for the sake of rooting for Reese and London.
