Neither of these MCs is perfect. At times both Brian and Destiny are immature, disconnected and unsure, but none of that stopped me from rooting for them. All their emotions and struggles are well-drawn and real. Jacinta Howard further cements her place as one of my favorites with each book. Read more.

The Deal wasn’t the steamy-dirty fare that I’m used to from Ms. Kennedy, but it still brings the sexy in a very realistic way for characters so young. Although, The Deal isn’t groundbreaking in its plot, it was refreshing in that the characters were likable and multifaceted without manufactured, unnecessary angst. Here, there was no side-eyeing and eye rolling incessantly at nonsensical antics that typically define NA romance. For me, The Deal is full of win! Read more.

Overall, a wonderfully real and emotional story that wasn't anything like what I was expecting after finishing A Crazy Little Thing Called Love. As I read more by her, I'm loving CCJ's ability to not stick to a formula in her stories; each couple/book is its own unique awesome-sauce; thus, not predictable in the least. Read more.

Gosh, I couldn’t have enjoyed this book any more. Thus far, my favorite of the Serendipitous Love series! Read more.

This isn’t a typical romance novel, which kept me reading straight through ‘til the end without a break. If you’re looking for a sweet, yet unexpectedly real story and characters, look no further! I’ll definitely be following this series moving forward. Read more.

After Unforgiven, I wanted sunshine, puppies, and butterflies for Darren and Bailey’s sequel. They ultimately do get a beautiful, peaceful HEA but Unforgettable wasn’t a lighthearted read. Their love and commitment is tested over and over again. I cried and I raged —“how much more can they take, goddammit!!”.
If you’re looking for something that will make you feel all the emotions of the spectrum, I highly recommend Unforgiven and Unforgettable. An epic love story which you won’t soon forget. Read more.

I enjoyed the love story between Frances and Tony. Tony falls hard for Frances pretty quickly whereas Frances has shut down so many parts of herself for so long that she needs a lot of time before she can open up to Tony. I got it, yet Frances’ issues started to wear thin for me after a while. Besides that, there was good banter and BtB was a very sexy read.
After teasers in the last two installments, I’m looking forward to Violet and Cain’s book to come next. Read more.

I thought this was a much more fleshed out installment in this series than the preceding book. In addition to cameos/updates from the the previous book's MCs and meeting other supporting characters at WtF, we learn a lot about both Slade and Jessica. Unlike AtC, there’s no insta-lust/love. Although I didn’t like how Jessica deals with her ex’s threats at first, it was convincing. Full Contact also had a healthy amount humor and sexiness to round out the story as well. Read more.

This is a captivating read with depth and realism; a true romance that's based on love and healing. Read more.

I’m torn on this one honestly. I liked the story and I enjoy this author’s voice, but I was honestly quite bored while reading What Once Was Perfect. There were a lot of inner musings from both characters and less action than I usually prefer. Overall, my biggest trouble with WOWP was that I couldn’t fully buy that in twelve long years two people wouldn’t have resolved the issues from their college love. Read more.

Overall, not a bad read, because ATC did keep me reading all the way to the end. But there was more that didn’t work for me than what did. Read more.

This is a straight-forward story with solid writing and likable characters. Twin brothers, Huck and Sly add lots of humor and I'm looking forward to their stories in the future as it looks pretty clear who their heroines will be. Falls into my good, but not great pile. Whenever you're looking for something quick and low angst, this is a perfect choice. Read more.

Overall, a quick, sweet, sexy ride with great characters and little or no drama. Read more.

LNOE sticks to a similarly formula as its predecessor when it comes to the suspense plot in this story; the stranger lurking right under everyone's noses and attacking his prey while the police are none the wiser as to who and why of the case. There was just the right amount of suspense while not being stingy with the sexy romance between these two characters. I enjoyed the witty banter between Tommie and Paulo. Tommie’s and Paulo’s backstories were also well-drawn and their chemistry jumps off the page. Read more.
