I loved this book! It's taken the the top spot of my top five YA books I've read thus far. I had no idea this book would have such intense and heavy themes as it was because I hadn't read many reviews beforehand. Although I haven't read anything previously by this author, Hopeless piqued my interest mainly because every time it popped up in my Goodreads newsfeed, it had a 5 star rating.
I laughed at the witty, sarcastic banter between Sky, Six, Brecken, Daniel and Holden, then I was a sniveling, crying mess by 75% in at all these kids had endured in their short lives! There were points that left me with my mouth agape, absolutely speechless. Other parts made me want to scream at the injustices and heart-wrenching subject matter. Every time I thought I had it figured out, a new twist totally threw me for a loop a few pages later!
My only complaint -- which is minor because I really did enjoy the ending, is I wished there was an epilogue...I just want to know Sky and Holder (and others) got their happily ever afters...even if they didn't believe in HEAs. :-)
