Some things didn't work for me on how Horse and Marie ultimately come together surrounding Marie's brother's situation. Horse sorta redeems himself as the story progresses but overall, he wasn't my brand of hot alpha male. More of the alpha-hole variety actually.
I had to suspend belief or not finish the book, so went with it as part of the MC culture...something that I'm not exactly an expert on so...
I liked parts, mostly after the 50% mark or so. Hated other parts along their journey, mostly prior to going to the Horse's home; thus, the 3-star rating.
