Some authors should stick to stand alone stories.
Series are great only when one has a lot more to say, that didn't fit in a book. 
(and by 'a lot' I mean enough to write one more book, not just half of it) *sigh*

Too many authors have jumped on this bandwagon and it SUCKS!!! The amount of sequels I've wasted my time on when the story could have wrapped in one book....*SIGH*
